SBYW6 will commence in May 2016 and is a year long programme for 10 young people aged 16 - 19 within the Southside.

SBYW6 aims to provide a programme that will assist young people to in raise their confidence, develop leadership skills and provide a broad range of practical experiences.  We hope that this programme will give young people the skills needed to reach their potential and provide a stepping stone onto further education, voluntary or paid work.

Young people on the programme will be supported by a range of full time Youth Workers, specialist workers and coaches.  Training will be provided once or twice a week, and will cover a range of topics.   The training provides certificated and non-certificated courses such as Youth Achievement Award, Duke of Edinburgh (Bronze level) and First Aid, with a guaranteed interview for a selection of college courses on completion of the training.
